About Us
Wickford Shipyard is a traditional boat lovers marina located at the corner of the extremely well protected Wickford Harbor. It offers excellent protection from weather in any direction, yet is convenient to all the attractions of Narragansett Bay and beyond. This is not a "resort marina" with high priced restaurants and a spa.
There's no croquet.
We do provide floating Ipe (ironwood) docks with finger piers on both sides of all slips for easy access and maintenance of your vessel. There's plenty of parking for you and your guests. Dockage ranges from dingy tie-ups to 80 linear foot, deep water slips. There is a machine shop, welding shop, and traditional and historic yacht rigging services available from on premises.
Services
Wickford Shipyard provides haul out and storage services with a custom, motorized Brownell trailer for boats as long as 60 ft and displacing as much as 50 tons. Power washing is included on all haul outs. Blocking, indoor, and outdoor storage is available and winter wet storage is available as well.
Diesel and gasoline are available at our new fuel dock, as well as ice cubes and blocks.
Town of Wickford
Wickford is one of the oldest English settlements in New England and boasts some of the finest colonial architecture anywhere. A short dingy ride into the town dock brings you to one of America's best main streets.
You will find dining from sandwiches and pizza, to high end Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Small town shopping in unique settings is a great way to spend a day. Provisioning is a short bike or ride share away. The Wickford Art Festival is a major attraction each summer (the weekend after the fourth of July).
